What we do

The Dandelion Initiative is geared towards helping ill, disabled and abused children and young people through

  • Creative and Play Therapy

  • Child and Teen Counselling

  • Emotional & Body Intelligence Training
It primarily aims to enrich these children's lives, to breathe hope into broken children's lives.

Mission

Our mission is to hear, see and understand these children and to make them realise that they are valued as people and that their stories are meaningful.

Our work is implemented in the following ways:

SESSIONS FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS
  • Individual & Group sessions for all children and teenagers

  • Individual and group sessions in hospitals, organisations and privately to help children and teenagers

  • Group sessions with stressed/traumatised children

  • Group sessions with stressed/traumatised teenagers
WORKSHOPS - TEACHING TECHNIQUES

The following workshops are offered to adults (caregivers, parents and teachers):

  • How to help children through creativity and developing personal stories. The workshop focuses on teaching technqiues
  • Empowering adolescents through creativity and developing personal stories.
  • Facilitating the writing of autobiographies on trauma.

Invite Marguerite to come and speak about her biography " The Dandelion Diary: The Tricky Art of Walking", a journey towards meaning despite physical difficulty. Her story is highly inspiring and motivational
